Annual Performing Opportunities
At Fantasia Academy, we believe that learning music should be both rewarding and inspiring. One of the highlights of the year for many of our students is our free annual student recital, where students have the opportunity to perform the music they have been working on with their teacher.
Showcase of Talent and Hardwork
Recitals feature a variety of performances, from piano pieces to violin duets and guitar pop songs. Students get a chance to both play for an audience and enjoy performances from their peers.
Our goal is always to make this experience supportive, non-judgemental, and encouraging. It is wonderful to see families come together and celebrate students’ musical progress.
Why Recitals Benefit Music Students
Our recitals are never mandatory – however we always encourage students to sign up! Participating in a recital offers several important benefits.
CONFIDENCE AND STAGE PRESENCE
Performing helps students become more comfortable presenting their music in front of an audience. This builds confidence that often extends beyond music – into school, life, and increasing their self-esteem.
SENSE OF ACHIEVEMENT
Preparing music for performance takes time and lots of practice. When students successfully perform it, they feel a strong sense of accomplishment that their hard work has paid off.
INSPIRATION FROM OTHERS
Recitals also allow students to hear others at different levels. Younger beginners often feel inspired when they see what more advanced students can play after several years of lessons.
